On June 3, 2025. Officers from the Greenfield Police Department received a Flock notification for a stolen black 2016 Ford Mustang. Officers located the suspected vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver (Mariah) accelerated and began fleeing.
During the pursuit, she lost control of the vehicle and struck a light pole, causing it to fall down. Shortly after the pursuit was terminated due to reckless driving, an officer observed Mariah lose control again and crash a second time. The vehicle lost a tire and became disabled in the roadway. The pursuit lasted approximately 1.73 miles and reached a top speed of 92 MPH.
Mariah was ordered to exit the vehicle and was secured in handcuffs. While being secured in a squad car, she mentioned that there were narcotics inside of the vehicle but denied knowing that the Mustang was stolen. Mariah was transported to the Milwaukee County Jail where she was released to jail staff.
Inside of the vehicle, officers located 18 bindles of aluminum foil which later tested positive for the presence of fentanyl. Mariah was found guilty for Operator Flee/Elude Officer-Bodily Harm or Property Damage, and Drive or Operate Vehicle w/o Consent. She was sentenced to 4 years in prison, 5 years of extended supervision, and was required to pay $7785 in restitution.
