Here's a little bit of WNET channel 13, the Public Broadcasting Service television station out of Newark, New Jersey, serving the New York City tri-state area. This was recorded in late July of 1986.
First, there's the very end of a pledge promo, then one for a re-broadcast of the "Architecture and Design of Vienna" episode of "You Gotta Have Art." This is what we had before streaming, kids! As the announcer says: "If you missed it, or ya just wanna see it again!"
Then the "Summer Movie" open plays, with random scenes of normal people who are out on the beach enjoying the sun instead of inside watching a weekday movie on PBS. It's the MCA TV release of "Christmas in July" (a movie I tried to watch as a kiddie but I found they really oversold the "Christmas" part).
And NO, other YouTubers, you may NOT hijack this video for your own channels--I'd prefer the views stay right here, thanks!
