Longtime Long Island grocery store chain King Kullen has just been acquired by Giunta's Meat Farms supermarkets, but it seems they will remain branded separately for the time being. This commercial was recorded during the WABC Late Movie in the last week of February 1986.
I love the detail that the grandly opening Northport location was a "Kullenary." This was an upgraded store concept begun at the Bay Shore market in the early 80's. This upload now appears to be the oldest King Kullen commercial on YouTube, which seems crazy to me.
