I've uploaded other WABC (New York City's channel 7) movie opens from back in the day, as well as slides and other bits from the Saturday Night Movie, but I finally found a full open that looks pretty good, so here it is. It's preceded by an Eyewitness News promo tease for a "Glory of Gospel" report coming on Monday, and followed by a "Late Night Movie" slide covered in more popcorn and Jujubes than the floor at the Ziegfeld.
This aired before a showing of 1981's "Quest For Fire," on May 10th, 1986. Here's another clip--in which Wally Parker mentions the Ziegfeld--taken from this broadcast: youtube.com/watch?v=lhc6va9-JeM
