Wind Forecast for RC Airplanes
A wind forecast for RC airplanes is an important part of our preparation for model aircraft flight. While all pilots need to be able to fly in some sort of wind, there are times, such as a maiden flight, when calm wind conditions are preferable.
It turns out that the Weather Channel application for smart phones has a function that shows the weather hour by hour, for 48 hours out. This detailed forecast includes a very accurate wind forecast. Super easy to use, just be sure to change the weather location to your RC field location.
