FMS F4U-4 Corsair Kit Review and Flight
In this video I will go over the FMS 800 mm (31.5" wingspan) version of the F4U-4 Corsair, with a kit review, unbox and test flight. In short, this is a very well made "Plug and Play" RC model airplane made from sturdy EPO foam. All you will need to finish the model is a transmitter, four channel receiver and a 2 cell lipo battery.
The model comes largely finished. Just a few parts need to be assembled and screwed in place. The only glue needed (I used 5 minute epoxy) is for the horizontal stabilizer and the unguided rockets under the wing. All servos are supplied and are in place, and all the control surfaces are hinged. The Corsair uses four channels of control for elevator, rudder, aileron and throttle.
The Corsair handles very well in the air. The plane has plenty of power with the two cell lipo. I might consider using a three cell battery, if the 20 amp ESC can handle the extra power, which should make for plenty of thrust.
I am very pleased with this kit. The Corsair builds quickly, looks great and flies very well. Good luck with your Corsair!
