In 1964 The Stones sang Time is On My Side on the Ed Sullivan show and it shot to number 1 on the charts. It was originally recorded by Irma Thomas and I've seen her perform it live many times. Who knew 60 years down the road they'd do the song together in front of the largest crowd JazzFest has ever seen! Oh how I wish I'd been there!! She also did a guest appearance with the Coral Reefers in Jimmy Buffett's JazzFest slot after an amazing Second Line funeral procession honored Jimmy's memory and his legacy in New Orleans.
The prompt was to leave something off or behind -- I left off stitching aand most of the embellishing I usually do, resulting in the clean, classic style that is in the technique prompt.
