Scrappy Kathy | Best. Kitchen. Ever. || LOAD Day 7 "Clue" || My Little Scrapbook Store Elvis Crop Challenge 6 @scrappykathy | Uploaded February 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
This was one of the most fun LOAD prompts -- scrap about a room (like in Clue) and use the colors of Miss Scarlett, Mr. Mustard, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Professor Plum. I found all those colors in Vicki Boutin scraps along with the velum color wheel paper that had a tile-like grid. Since one of my kitchen's main features is the multi-color mosaic tile made from recycled glass bottles, I decided to tile my page, splitting the journaling into two strips placed to look like borders and I tossed in the color wheels because, like my kitchen, they have ALL the colors. I even used tile letters for my title! And I inked the tiles with "Weathered Wood" Distress Oxide to mimic the grey grout on the tiles in my kitchen! Oh, and yeah, I didn't clear the dishes from the drainer or the recipe stand and utensils before taking the photo! I LOVE this page!
Thanks for watching! I'll see you tomorrow with a video that's already made and set to go live at midnight -- I'm guest designer for LOAD with a prompt based on another game we all know and love. And my page will be one that makes me smile with a sweet memory of John who left us 3 years ago tomorrow.
