Why was the Tantive IV docked inside the Profundity? According to the Rogue One novelization, it was in desperate need of repairs, so was docked inside of the Rebel flagship, and remained there even when it jumped to join the Battle of Scarif. The blockade runner’s crew worked frantically to fix a leak in its hyperdrive motivator, which they barely got working in time to make their escape. Unfortunately, the repairs were incomplete, and allowed Darth Vader’s star destroyer to track and chase the Tantive IV to Tatooine, even without the use of fancy hyperspace tracking technology the First Order would eventually use. #starwars
