Who or what is Bor Gullet? He was a Bor of the Mairan, a species that was first created for Star Wars Legends. As Saw Gerrera states, Bor Gullet could read minds, and the Rogue One novelization gives us more insight into what that looks like for Bodhi Rook. During the process, Bor Gullet had to sift through the pilot’s mind and memories, basically mixing up Bodhi’s entire life so for a time he didn’t know where or when or even who he was. Saw’s Partisans weren’t the only groups to use Mairans as interrogators. The Empire, and specifically the Imperial Security Bureau were also known to use them to read the minds of their prisoners. It would appear that Bor is a title of some sorts, so Gullet might be Bor Gullet’s actual name, and Bor might refer to Mairans that could read minds. Maybe they couldn’t all do it, that’s unclear right now. #starwars #rogueone
