https://www.byronherbalist.com.au/appointments/ to work with me.
A lot of people with mould illness eventually reach a point where they become too afraid to try anything because every new supplement, every herb and every detox protocol seems to make them feel worse. They try antifungals and become more reactive or they try binders and their symptoms flare. Some of them then add another supplement that an IG influencer swears by and somehow they end up feeling even more inflamed, exhausted and unwell than before.
What I want to talk about in this video is why I don't necessarily see that as a failure of the treatment itself. More often than not, I see it as a sequence problem.
In the clinic the mould affected patients I work with are some of the most complex and unwell people I've ever seen. They are often dealing with significant histamine issues, mast cell activation, food intolerances, chronic inflammation, gut dysbiosis, constipation and impaired detoxification. The buffer between them and tolerance to the environment has essentially disappeared so even relatively gentle interventions can feel overwhelming.
In this video I'll walk through why antimicrobials and binders often backfire in mould illness, the role of mast cell activation and impaired detoxification, why constipation and poor elimination can completely change the treatment picture plus the phased approach that I use to help people become stable enough to actually tolerate root cause treatments.
