Sulphur intolerance is one of the most overlooked drivers of ongoing gut symptoms.
If you’re reacting to foods like garlic, onion, eggs, brassicas, or supplements like MSM, NAC, or glutathione this is key to recognise. It often points to a breakdown in sulphur metabolism, gut dysbiosis, or hydrogen sulphide overproduction in the gut.
In clinic, I see this all the time. Patients who have “treated SIBO” but still react to sulphur-containing foods and can’t move forward. That’s usually a sign we’re dealing with a deeper layer involving bile flow, microbial imbalance, or detox pathway bottlenecks.
