"Mario Kart World costs $80 USD!" "Yeah, makes sense."

Based on my knowledge about economics and the gaming industry, I didn't find the raised prices for Switch 2 games to be unusual. I didn't even consider that anybody would question it.

Clearly, I was wrong.

Perhaps this is a sign that my finance MBA actually mattered. That, or corporate is taking over my soul (a disturbing possibility...)

Since I paid for an actual financial education, I might as well share some knowledge with others. Hopefully this video proves more educational than most others out there.

Time for an economics lesson.

This video covers basic economic theories involving inflation, economic growth, tariffs and taxes, and retailer & distributor behaviour. It also covers game development costs and logistics.

It is NOT an acceptable substitute for an actual college-level economics lecture (stay in school, kids).
