history in India has been presented I don't know how many of you grew up in India If you okay most of you great a large number Those who would have you would have seen the way history was presented to us in a few perspectives One there was a very heavy focus on Delhi and its environment The rest of India was broadly just ignored Particularly the history of the last thousand and 15 hundred years You know South India I don't know how many of you are South Indians there would have been two or three chapters saying Meanwhile in the South Right But the rest is all just Delhi But South India at least got a meanwhile in the South right Central India East India Western India are all ignored Apparently only things worth happening happened around Delhi Which gives us an inadequate understanding of the entire land That's one aspect Second aspect that I found mischievous was that British colonial rule is not called the Christian invasion but the Turkic colonial rule is called the Islamic invasion in our history books.
