There's a deeper meaning to Lord Larys Strong's taking away King Aegon's drink in episode 6 of House of the Dragon season 2.
Larys Strong is a man whose intentions are rather dubious. Similar to Littlefinger or Varys from Game of Thrones, Larys appears to be driven by personal gain as he plays the information game.
However, it appears that he was thinking about more than simply promoting himself when he made this decision in episode 6.
Aegon is unable to do anything for now while the maesters of the Red Keep tend to his recovery after he was betrayed by Aemond Targaryen at the Battle of Rook's Rest.
As Prince Regent, Aemond Targaryen makes snap judgments and enforces his power over the Seven Kingdoms and the tiny council.
