Since actor Harry Collett only took up the part later on in the season, Jacaerys Velaryon didn't have many chances to make an impression.
Jace has truly stood out in season 2, while still being a minor character. His new behaviors show how his trip to the North transformed him.
He is still a young child, though mourning the death of his younger brother and assuming responsibility for his home in the absence of his two fathers.
