The first movie in the new DC Universe will be David Corenswet's Superman, and it appears that this reboot of the Man of Steel will surpass Henry Cavill's portrayal of the character in a significant way.
In the previous DCEU, Cavill portrayed Superman. He first starred on screen as the superhero Man of Steel, then costarred with other heroes in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.
James Gunn chose to revive Superman and the DCEU, but the actor reappeared for a post-credits scene tease in Black Adam after a long absence.
