A potential sequel series starring Brandon Routh as Superman was hinted at by one of the creators of DC's Arrowverse.
In the 2006 movie Superman Returns, Routh portrayed Superman for the first time.
Superman Returns made money and received favorable reviews, but not enough to justify a follow-up.
Thirteen years later, Routh returned to the character as part of the crossover storyline Crisis on Infinite Earths in the Arrowverse.
