Pokemon Scarlet and Violet may not have fancy pants graphics, but they do have got one thing: Ed Sheeran. The popular music man has contributed a song to the new game, primarily because he absolutely loves Pokemon and he just wants to be involved.
In this video, we explore Sheeran's childhood playing Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon Silver with his brother. We learn about how much he enjoyed Pokemon Black, and we see a recreation of the Squirtle tattoo that he has on his elbow.
We'll revisit his performance within Pokemon Go, and the time he got caught singing at a kareoke bar in Tokyo while wearing a Snorlax onesie.
We'll take a brief detour to discover what UNDERTALE/DELTARUNE creator Toby Fox was given by way of inspiration when he was also asked to contribute music to the game.
And, of course, we'll find out why Ed made a song for the game: basically, he met the developers at Game Freak, someone suggested he make a song, and he was very excited to take them up on the offer.

Links dominant hand is one of those weird issues that gets way more attention from the developers of the Legend of Zelda game than, say, his gender. Eiji Aonuma can give a detailed explanation behind why Breath of the Wild Link uses his right hand for sword swinging, but when asked about a female player character in the series, he insists that Link has to be a boy but doesnt exactly show his working.
Sorry. He insists that Zelda is a boy. Still tempted to do that video at some point this month, just to annoy people, but Im fighting the urge thus far.
Anyway, heres where things stand on the first eve of Hannukah: the Game Awards are taking place in about an hour and twenty minutes, but I will be asleep because were in the UK and parents and I need my beauty sleep (I *really* need my beauty sleep).
Everyones currently hoping that we get to see a bit of Breath of the Wild 2 at some point during the awards ceremony. I really hope we do. Pro tip: the more actual gameplay footage you see, the closer the game is to completion. If we get a cinematic, that means that BOTW 2 is still several years away from completion.
If we dont see anything at all, then dont expect it to debut until the Switch 2, if ever.

Yes, its another video about Among Us. Cut us some slack, its been a slow news week, the Airship map is the only relatively recent new thing to make a video on, and were tired because our daughter is home from school every day for the Easter holidays.
The Airship map is the ultimate Among Us Easter Egg, filled with Henry Stickmin references that are designed to delight longtime InnerSloth fans and confuse everybody else.
With such a large new level, it was inevitable that actually creating the Airship was going to take a while, but behind the scenes, a lot of chaos made things even slower. Lengthy business meetings, the challenges of finding new employees for the tiny studio, plus negotiating with lawyers over fake Among Us merchandise all contributed to the delay in getting this games new map finished.
So in case youve ever wondered how much effort it takes to build a video game, bear this in mind: it takes more than you think, and its exhausting.
