With the release of Charlie's Angels, Batwoman, and Terminator: Dark Fate, Hollywood has been trying to put more women into action stories. But these recent properties have struggled in the box office, while Wonder Woman, The Hunger Games, Aliens, and many other female-driven franchises have done phenomenally well.
People have figured out that the quality of the writing, and the political tone of the movies plays a factor, but I noticed something else recently, that is just as important. So let's go into that.
