Who were the five major criminal syndicates of the Star Wars galaxy? At the time of Solo: A Star Wars Story, when the five were first prominently mentioned, they were Crimson Dawn, the Hutt Cartel, the Pyke Syndicate, Black Sun, and the Crymorah Syndicate. While Maul was alive, they all maintained an alliance as the former Sith Lord kept them in line. Crimson Dawn and the Pyke Syndicate are both seen in the film, and the Hutt Cartel was, of course, run by the Hutts like Jabba seen in Return of the Jedi, The Book of Boba Fett, and The Clone Wars. Black Sun was first created for Shadows of the Empire and was featured in The Clone Wars, still under the leadership of Falleen nobles. The Crymorah Syndicate is still largely a mystery, as they haven’t had any major appearances. We do know they were made up of five smaller criminal groups called the Droid Gotra, the Rang Clan, the Wandering Star, the Baldamiro Family, and apparently some additional Hutts. #starwars
