This is one of the oldest roller coasters in the park and has been designated by ACE (American Coaster Enthusiasts). It is the only Speed Racer roller coaster left that was built by Anton Schwarzkopf Co and it also is one of the few coasters left that utilizes an electric spiral lift with electric motors in each car on the train to move it to the top of the lift. According toRCDB.com, this coaster is 3,100 feet long, 70 feet high with a 64 foot drop, has a top speed of about 42 mph, and a total rid time of about two minutes long. Back in the 1990's, the park made the announcement that this coaster was to be removed and replaced by Superman. The park patrons didn't like that at all and a letter writing campaign ensued and convinced Six Flags Great America that they needed to keep this coaster. The park did install the new Superman coaster in a different location.
