This is the Carolina Cobra at Carowinds park near Charlotte, NC. This coaster actually did not originate at this park as it was formerly located at the now closed Geauga Lake Park near Aurora, OH. It was installed at Geauga Lake in 1996 when Six Flags owned the park and it was called Mind Eraser. It opperated under that name until Cedar Fair bought the park and changed the name to Head Spin in 2004. It opperated under that name until that fateful and controversial decision to close the park forever on September 16, 2007. It sat idle there until it was dissasembled, refurbished, given a new paint scheme and moved to Carowinds where it now opperates as the Carolina Cobra. It's a Boomerang model from Vekoma and is a shuttle type coaster which means the track doesn't make a complete circut. The train goes out to the end of the track and then returns back to the station the same way it came out.

It has a total length of 935ft, a height of 116ft 6in, a loop and a Cobra Roll (2 inversions), a top speed of about 47mph, a ride duration of about 1 min 48 sec, and a total hourly capacity of 935 riders per hour. It operated under this name until 2016 when it was changed to the Flying Cobras in 2017
