Navigating running injuries can be extremely frustrating.

Just because your running schedule may consist of “easy” runs, does not mean it is “easy” to follow.

It is so tempting to run faster and/or longer, the moment pain becomes more “tolerable.”

However, it is equally frustrating when you push it a little too far, and have another setback.

The way I navigate this with injured runners is a shift in mindset.

People get too attached to the numbers, like pace and volume.

One crucial lesson is to “Train where you are at, not where you want to be.”

While progress may initially feel slower, it will lead to consistency.

And being able to consistently run is the key to long term progress.
