What if workplace systems truly showed up to support families?
Through the WEPs Corporate Action Lab (WEPs CAL), PLN is strengthening the standardization of daycare services and the monitoring of maternity leave and paternity leave policies. This initiative is designed to support PLN employees’ dual roles—both as workers and as caregivers within their families.
From policy to good practice, PLN is working to build a workplace where employees can continue to grow without compromising their important roles in the family.
The WEPs Corporate Action Lab is an acceleration program under the UN Women Gender Action Lab, supported by the Government of Australia, aimed at advancing gender equality in the private sector. In Indonesia, UN Women collaborates with Danantara Indonesia to build a more equal, adaptive, and sustainable workplace.

After three years of working, Siti Mahfudzoh faced inequality in the workplace. The promotion opportunity she applied for was given to her male colleague because he was considered “more reliable.”
After resigning to take care of her child, Siti now works from home as a video affiliate. Through the Link Women program, Siti learned about automation skills to help run her video affiliate business and increase her sales commission while still taking care of her child. Link Women also introduced Siti to a supportive community of women building their careers.
Link Women is a collaborative program between UN Women and LinkedIn aimed at enhancing womens employability through training materials on digital marketing, artificial intelligence (AI), knowledge of gender equality, and eliminating gender bias in the workplace.
