In this exclusive ITB Berlin session, Professor Fevzi Okumus presents new research on the unintended consequences of AI in travel and hospitality. As AI increasingly shapes pricing, personalization and guest engagement, issues around bias, governance, consent and data privacy are moving fast from theory to real-world impact. The research highlights how large-scale data capture and predictive profiling can disadvantage marginalized travelers and limit visibility for local operators, ultimately affecting authenticity, trust and human connection.
