This video cover what to do when you are overthinking. This is a common situation and lots of people find themselves with their head so full of content it is hard to relax. I have been in this situation many times and the steps covered in this video can help you de-stress and relax so that you can regain some clarity and mental peace.
Key things to do when you are overthinking:
1. Get it out of your head β Get a pen and paper and get everything out of your head. Don't worry about complete thoughts or sentences, focus on getting your thoughts from your head onto the page. This normally takes between 5 and 30 minutes to get all the thoughts out of your head.
2. Change your context β Once you have got everything out of your head and onto paper, the next thing to do is to change your context. You need to go somewhere different, ideally in nature. Being someone novel and new has a massive impact on your mental state. I recommend you bring your pen and paper as well, in case more thoughts come up when you are there.
