Yoga is not only what happens when you roll out your mat, move through a sequence, or focus on breath, body, and mind. That is the laboratory, the place where we rehearse the inner work. But the real practice continues when life feels unsteady: when we are triggered, confused, when things fall apart, when we fail, lose clarity, or have to begin again.
This is where Tristhāna becomes more than a method. As Tim Feldmann and I explore in this episode, breath becomes the place we return when the mind scatters. Posture becomes how we remember to stand with dignity in difficulty. Gaze becomes discernment, the willingness to look again, see more clearly, and choose where our attention rests.
The practice teaches us how to come back. Again and again. To the breath. To the body. To awareness. To the quiet place within that can remain present even when life’s surface is moving.
