The work of Dr. Weston A. Price has transformed my understanding of how we can best nourish ourselves. 😍
He was a dentist and researcher, curious about what diet and traditional health practices helped indigenous people groups thrive. His book “Nutrition and Physical Degeneration” goes over what he learned from the 14 countries he visited in the 1930s. 👍
The diets varied around the world but every healthy group ate
✔️ local
✔️ seasonal
✔️ traditional
✔️ organic food (it was the only kind of food in existence 😁)
These are the foods to seek out today and to use as a foundation for health. 🙌🏼 (And traditional foods btw refers to nutrient-rich foods like eggs, organ meats and broth. 🥣 And the Maasai, whom I have also visited, thrived on raw milk and meat and fat!)
In contrast, those who chose the displacing foods of modern commerce made with
❌ white flour
❌ refined sugar
❌ seed oils
suffered the consequences of deteriorating health. 😟
This work (& my own experience ☺️) has convinced me that for good health it’s best to follow the example of the healthiest peoples. And avoid the refined, overly processed stuff. 🙌🏼 What do you think? 🤔

And please share this post to get the word out that the healthiest diets are not trendy or driven by fads but ancient and life-giving. 😀
PS Thanks to @tpusaevents and @realalexclark for having me speak at the recent YWLS event in San Antonio. What a privilege 😘
