Sometimes, hearing how others navigate difficult moments can offer a reminder, perspective, or practice that helps us too.
Alhamdulillah, we had the opportunity to engage with so many wonderful attendees at ISNA Con in Detroit, including our very own Dr. Rania Awaad.
We posed a simple question: “What’s one thing you do when life becomes overwhelming?”
JazakAllahu Khairan to everyone who took a moment to participate and share their reflections with us.
Let us know in the comments: What do you do when life becomes overwhelming?

![How the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Expressed the Worth of All People
Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
“So compete with one another in doing good. Wherever you are, Allah will bring you all together for judgment. Surely Allah is Most Capable of everything.” [2:148]
Watch to learn more about the importance of good deeds in cultivating our worth under the Gaze of Allah ﷻ.

![Do we really know what our mothers go through?
🌷Mothers hold an immense rank in Islam. The Prophet ﷺ even said jannah is beneath their feet.
Surah Luqman verse 31:14 demonstrates how our mothers endure “hardship after hardship.” This includes the difficulties of childbearing, and the numerous challenges many face after the pain of child birth such as postpartum depression, anxiety, isolation, and hormonal changes.
These are often struggles that many new mothers face alone and it can take an immense toll on their sense of self and how they engage with the world.
Have mercy on your mothers, forgive them, and make du’a for them this Friday, on a blessed day where good deeds are multiplied and prayers are accepted.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Friday is twelve hours in which there is no Muslim slave who asks Allah ﷻ for something but He will give it to him, so seek it in the last hour after Asr.
