What are melons Boba Fett forages out of the sand? They were called black melons and were one of the few sources of hydration in the Tatooine desert. They were staples of the Tusken Raiders, although humans found them to be an acquired taste, to say the least. They were first created for the 2015 Star Wars comic run, and have popped up in several Tatooine-based stories since then.
