Can we land a Cessna 172 at Canada's southernmost airport for lunch? 🛩️🇨🇦
Join us on a flight from Oshawa (CYOO) to Pelee Island (CYPT), the southernmost inhabited point in Canada. Our mission: find out if we can transit the busy Toronto terminal airspace and make it to the southernmost restaurant in the country for some fresh Lake Erie perch and pickerel.

Along the way, we face unexpected 40-knot headwinds that force an unscheduled fuel stop in Chatham-Kent, a tricky 90-degree crosswind landing on Pelee Island, and a scenic flyover of the uninhabited Middle Island—the true southern tip of Canada with its own fascinating history.

In this video:
VFR Flight Planning: Navigating from Oshawa to Pelee Island.
Toronto Airspace Transit: Getting clearance to fly north of the CN Tower.
Fuel Emergency & Cash Only: Dealing with a credit card machine failure at a remote strip.
Pelee Island Landing: Managing crosswinds and a go-around at Canada's southern tip.
Southernmost Lunch: Biking to the ferry dock for local Lake Erie fish.
