April 7, 2024 intergenerational worship service at the First Unitarian Church of Salt Lake City, featuring a Child Dedication ceremony, wherein the congregants dedicate themselves to supporting and loving their children as they grow into whoever they will become. The sermon by the Reverend J Sylvan stresses the importance of allowing children to express themselves freely and not imposing rigid values or expectations onto them. Special guest Heather May describes her work with the Great Salt Lake Collaborative, a group of news, education and civic organizations that have come together to inform Utahns about the crisis facing the Great Salt Lake β and what can be done to make a difference before it is too late.
