Hello Marion County citizens, I’m your Sheriff, Billy Woods. And it is time for Wanted by Woods Wednesday. Today, my friends, we’re not looking for your common criminal….we’re looking for a killer. We need to find 32-year-old Brandon Lee Brown. He has a felony warrant for 2nd Degree Murder, Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Attempted Robbery with a Firearm and Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon.
Last Tuesday, Brandon and his brother, Derrick, went to a home in Summerfield and confronted two victims. During this confrontation, Brandon shot both of the victims. After the shooting, Brandon and his brother tried to rob the victims, but instead, they fled the scene before taking anything from them. We caught up with Derrick the very next day and arrested him for his involvement….but Brandon is still on the run! Sadly, one of Brandon’s victims passed away last night. Detectives upgraded the charges on his warrant today and are looking to bring Brandon into custody. We need to find Brandon before he hurts anyone else!!
Citizens, if Brandon doesn’t do the right thing, we are going to need your help locating him. If you have any information on Brandon’s whereabouts, please call Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP and reference 18-40 in your tip. If you use Crime Stoppers and your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward!
