MCSO MOTOR UNIT CORPORAL PAUL YOUMANS TAKES FIRST PLACE IN THE INTERMEDIATE DIVISION AT GATOR CHALLENGE
The Marion County Sheriff's Office Motor Unit participated in the Gator Challenge that was held at Gator Harley-Davidson in Leesburg on Saturday, March 3, 2018. This event, hosted by the Lake County Sheriff's Office and Gator Harley-Davidson, challenges the skills of sheriff and police motor units from all around the state and raises money for charity at the same time! Corporal Paul Youmans and Sgt. Roy Hay competed this weekend and they both took first and second place in the Intermediate Division, respectively. (PS: Because it was their first time competing, the Intermediate Division was the highest division they could participate in). This event is a tremendous training experience for all of the agencies involved and all the motorcyclists will be issued training certificates for their participation. AND it's fun for people of all ages to watch!! WARNING: If you get motion sickness easily, this video might make you a little dizzy!! WHOA!!
