Coming in at number 4 for 2025 is the walnut + brass pushpin completed! ✨ After weeks of cutting, stacking, turning, sanding, and problem-solving, it all came down to this last step. I protected the walnut, polished the brass to a mirror shine, trimmed and sanded the edge, and finished it off smooth.

What started years ago with a quirky walnut + brass clothespin I found at a garage sale has now turned into a giant pushpin that makes me smile every time I see it.

This project reminded me why I love making — the mix of challenges, satisfaction, and the surprise of seeing something ordinary turned into something extraordinary. Check out the tools used in the video -
