Cutting the custom acrylic base plate for the Trend router! I cut the entire design on the CNC using the painter’s tape and CA glue workholding method. It held everything securely through the full profile cut, so I didn’t need any tabs and was left with a clean finished edge.
Once the cut was complete, the acrylic peeled right off the tape and the finished base plate came out great. A simple project, but a good example of how useful this workholding method can be for small parts and through cuts. Check out the tools used on our website -
