On July 6, 2023 in Edmond, Oklahoma, police responded to an emergency call from Walmart after an 83-year-old woman was robbed in the parking lot moments after leaving the store. Investigators say an unknown suspect snatched her purse, knocking her to the ground and leaving her with a serious head injury. The victim was rushed to the hospital as officers secured the scene, reviewed surveillance video, and began searching for the suspect. This is body cam footage of the events that followed.
