My Sonic the Hedgehog retrospective continues with Shadow the Hedgehog! Shadow is often seen as the black sheep of the franchise, a lughing stock in the eyes of most Sonic fans. Who thought a Sonic game needed to be try hard and grim dark with an edge lord protagonist? Sonic characters with guns? That's absurd, right? Right?!

Surprisingly, no. Look past the memes and the Internet echo chamber, and Shadow the Hedgehog just might surprise you. In this video, we revisit this 2005 game, an experience which genuinely surprised me. Maybe it will convince you to give Shadow a second chance?
