The band Vulcane, formed in 2019 in the São João da Boa Vista region of Minas Gerais (Brazil), is a modern metal quartet known for its fusion of crushing riffs, powerful melodies, and visceral vocals, creating immersive soundscapes that transcend genre boundaries. Composed of Felipe Silva (bass), Matheus Sousa (guitar), Henrique Zem (drums), and Gabriel Bonilha (vocals), the group explores profound narratives about humanity's existential struggles, blending raw aggression with philosophical reflections.
"Ocean of Ego" represents the natural continuation of the conceptual universe initiated on their debut EP "Hunger for the End" (released in 2019), which portrays humanity's search for the meaning of life through a metaphorical approach. In this new chapter, the story evolves in epic fashion: the Desert of Lies, the stage of illusions and chains that bind four souls in search of truth, transforms into a vast Ocean—the Ocean of the Ego. This transition symbolizes a deeper immersion into the layers of the human being, where the ego becomes a turbulent sea of internal challenges, cycles of purgation, and confrontations with the fictional divine HAVASHI, the Titan God of Truth.
Victory is not guaranteed, and the tracks promise to delve into the abyss of human reflection, questioning illusions, desires, and the perpetuation of existential purgatory. Although complete details such as the exact release date and full tracklist have not yet been released, the album (or expanded EP) already features the single "Dominate" as its second track, serving as a gateway to this aquatic and introspective narrative. By the way in the Dominate song we got a special guest Fernanda Lira from Crypta.
