The new album from the Austrian band Edenbridge, titled Set the Dark on Fire, is their 12th studio album and was released on January 16, 2026 by Steamhammer/SPV. It marks a significant return to the label after several years since their previous album, and represents an interesting evolution in the band's sound without abandoning the classic symphonic metal characteristics that fans love.

The absolute highlight is the epic 13-minute suite "Spark Of The Everflame" (divided into four parts), which acts as the heart of the album and summarizes the entire sonic spectrum of Edenbridge: from melodic to progressive, from heavy to celestial.
Singles like "Cosmic Embrace" (with a symbolic video of a labyrinth and transformative fire), "Where The Wild Things Are," and the title track "Set The Dark On Fire" (one of the fastest and grooviest tracks in the band's history) clearly showcase this new phase: more direct, with memorable riffs, catchy choruses, and intense orchestral moments.
