I'm excited to get back behind the bar and kick the doors open on 2024. I should've been back last week, truth be told, but I was glad of the break and I hear it's a healthy thing. Still, I missed it and I'm now desperate to get the vPub back on usual service.
This week we'll kick off our first vPub of the year tradition with a look ahead at what lies in store for us as whisky enthusiasts, and I'll attempt to make some predictions of what we might see.
However, for any of you that might be fooled into considering my words to be wise, we'll have a look back at what I've predicted before and see how many I actually got right.
There's always so much to talk about, but especially right now. There's a general feeling of sea change in whisky and whether that's right or not remains to be seen. There are developments though.
Can't wait to welcome you all there, it's only been three weeks, but already feels too long.
