To go with the last video, the 2nd part. Two more visitors to the layout from one of my friends model fleet. First up is Heljan's all new retooled class 33 Crompton. A stunning model & will pull a house!! During our load test of it, we put a load of 20 coaches behind it. Bachmann mk2's & Mk1's. Though not shown in the video with that many coaches, it did pull the 20 coaches like they wasn't there!!
The livery seen here is the BR Blue pre-tops. Loco has been fitted with if memory serves me correct, Gauge Master 8 pin decoder. The layout is under the control of Hornby's Elite running on the V1.4 version firmware. Trackwork is all Peco code 100 streamline, with electrofrog points (with exception of the 2 double slips, these being insulfrog). Layout is still work in progress.
The coaches seen being hauled in this video are various Bachmann MK2's & MK1 restaurant car. Some of the MK2's are Kernow Models limited editions.
Next up is Bachmann's BR Southern EMU Class 411 4-CEP. Various shots including close ups, of various details. Again this is seen running on DCC.
