This was my first time in Egypt, and we had a Friday morning to explore one of the most iconic places in the world. Seeing the pyramids in person is something that’s hard to describe—your jaw really does drop the moment you see them up close.
It’s not just about seeing them either—you can actually walk right up to the pyramids and touch the original materials used to build them, including limestone, alabaster, and granite.
What surprised me the most was learning that you can actually go inside the pyramids. That alone completely changed the experience and made it even more unforgettable.
I spent about 4 hours exploring the area, but honestly, you could spend multiple days here just taking it all in—walking around the complex, visiting different viewpoints, and exploring the surrounding areas like the worker village.
