Hey guys and girls I found this on ebay and I think its pretty rare because i could not find any more, its a Japanese real life train called the Twilight Express which I believe is very historic and still runs today.
The Locomotive is an EF type electric locomotive which in real life draws current from the overhead wires to make its power, the model I have here is quite fast and looks to be quite old but I am struggling to find out much about this toy. It comes with 2 carriages or coaches whatever you prefer to call them :P all are labelled with very high detailed small stickers with text you can barely read with the naked eye. The yellow wheels and early box point to this model being quite early but the picture on the back features quite modern trains from the 90's and there is only 1 piece of english text on the whole box and that says 1992, so not quite as vintage as I thought but still 20 or so years old.
The build quality is very good with the locomotive running well and feeling quite heavy in the hand, the quality of the plastics used is very good on the locomotive and the carriages. I am starting to fall in love with Plarail haha I hope to get lots more interesting items from Japan :)
This locomotive set is very nice all round and i'm not going to give it a score but will keep the scoring for the Thomas stuff of which there is another video coming straight after this one.
