Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay has announced plans for a world-class Olympic City and a dedicated Motor Sports City in Chennai, marking a major push to transform the city into a global sports destination.
The proposed Olympic City will feature world-class sporting arenas, advanced equipment, a High Performance Training Centre, Sports Science and Sports Medicine centres, along with accommodation for athletes and coaches. The aim is to create an integrated ecosystem capable of producing athletes who can compete for medals at the Olympics and other major international events.
