A very dirty SSD 590P DC drive needed recommissioning, but the drive is extremely dirty, also contaminated with fine metal particles.
400V mains voltage together with carbon and metal glitter does almost guarantee for nice fireworks.
The only way to ensure it does not go up in flames was a complete strip down and thorough cleaning.
It also turned out that the heat sink and fan was so dirty that there was almost no air flow left, if it would not spark straight away, it would most certainly overheat.

It became quite a lengthy 2 part video, but the main purpose is to show customers the importance of regular drive maintenance.

This is not your average Chinese Huanyang hobby toy, it's a serious piece of kit for powering a big DC motor, see technical data below
