A few of the friends and foe insects that can be found in a potato planting. Colorado Potato Beetle and Three-Lined Potato Beetle are two common potato eating pest species we have here. Also very common is the Two Spotted Stink Bug which eats them. I was also excited to get some footage of a bee buzz pollinating some potato flowers.
This isn't an exhaustive/authoritative list of all the pests and beneficials that impact growing potatoes, but they are the ones I have here that are easy to get a picture of. The other major potato pest we have is probably the potato leafhopper (Empoasca fabae) which can seriously impact potatoes from damage to the leaves known as hopperburn. Its extremely difficult to get good footage of leafhoppers as they are tiny and fly insanely fast.
