I did a temporary install of 4- Westcott FJ400 Strobes each with its own Pocket Wizard radio trigger in each corner of the basketball court. Each strobe had a special sport reflector on them (long throw). Then I shot a game using 2- A9III cameras and Sony's FE28-70mm f/2GM and their FE300mm f/2.8GM for downcourt. This video explains all this and why I go through the extra hassle to strobe hoops. I started using strobes to shoot basketball back in 1992 when I began to work for Sports Illustrated as a freelance photographer. I still love doing it and think it's worth it because of the quality I get out of the images.
