With proper N95 masks in short supply xc skiers could try using a ski waxing mask if they have one in their wax kit. The one that we have has N95 air filtering capacity and so should be quite safe to use during this Covid 19 outbreak. It is a dual cartridge half mask respirator and ours was made by US Safety. I can't find that in their current on line catalogue but other suppliers also make them.
